AKA: Twin Cam Tom

A little about me: I’ve been riding over 30 years. One of the below pictures was taken in Hollywood, CA. in 1978 on my second Harley, a 1976 SuperGlide, while I was stationed at March AFB. I now ride my tenth H-D, a 2006 Road Glide (I’ve also owned several Hondas including five Gold Wings, a BMW K100RT, and a Yamaha Royal Star Venture). I rode that SuperGlide from Riverside, CA to St Louis, MO and back twice, as well as all over Southern and Central CA. Now I don’t know if I could ride it across town! It had no front fender, no speedometer, a Mikuni carb with a quarter-turn throttle, and those pull-back bars! I was young and didn’t know any better. Now not only do I require a front fender and speedometer, but I also need a windshield, saddle bags, radio, GPS, electronic cruise control, and a rider’s backrest!

Carol and I were married in September 2007. Together we have six kids, with four still at home. (We hope to shed a few more of them this summer as they go off to college.) Carol is new to motorcycling. She went on her first long ride when we went to Sturgis in 2007. We hope to get in a lot of riding this summer.
