AKA: Family Guy

Well, it all started with my parents being geographically challenged. You see... I was born in New York on Long Island in 1950 and for the first 29 years I did'nt have much choice( did'nt know any better either).
My first bike was a Honda 305 Nighthawk I believe. That would have been around 1967 when I was in high school. Then I moved up to a Triumph 650 Bonneville and rode her until I went active duty in the Navy. When I was finally discharged, I bought a 1962 Harley Chopper and before I could get off the island I found myself married to Jan, and we had two children. The chopper was sold. More important things to do.
I got a job offer in Houston, (I'm a plumber) and Jan & I picked up and moved to Texas in the fall of 1979 along with our two pre-school children, Nicole & Shane. In 1985 we moved up here to Carrollton and have settled in.
I did not ride again until I bought a new 2000 Yamaha Venture Millinium Edition. What a great bike she was. Unfortunately circumstances forced me to sell her in 2002. That was a bad day for me!! But, this year I found myself in the position to buy a 2001 Suzuki 1500 Intruder with less than 1000 miles on her. Nice clean bike! Now I'm back to ride again only solo though as Jan just is'nt interested. Oh well.
Luckily for Jan & myself, both Nicole and Shane have for the time being, settled in Carrollton with their spouses. We have two wonderful grandchildren with a third due sometime in November. Boy, the time sure does pass fast. Enjoy it while you can.
I am looking forward to meeting with everyone in the group and doing some riding soon.
